FLORENCE WINTER HILL is a comedy director based in London who is passionate about making cinematic, character-driven stories that are really bloody funny.
Her short films have made the official selection of BAFTA and Oscar-qualifying film festivals including ‘The Gospel According To Gail’ – featuring the icon the legend, Harriet Webb as Gail (Big Boys, I May Destroy You), which screened at the Palm Springs International Film Festival snatching her a Best Comedy nomination. Florence was also selected as part of the Saatchi and Saatchi’s 2023 New Creators’ Showcase, and was nominated for a Young Director Award at Cannes.
In 2023 she directed her first theatre production that left Covent Garden gagged, the darkly comic ‘Post Traumatic SLAY Disorder’, which ran at Seven Dials Playhouse and gave her an Offies best director nom for fringe theatre.
Right now she’s writing her first comedy feature, and developing a sketch show. Comedy performance is the gin to her tonic.
