HECTOR DOCKRILL’s work pairs a documentary-style appreciation for authenticity with a crafted, visceral visual style which has paired him with brands like Beats, Adidas, The North Face and Balmain. He has worked with some of music’s biggest artists, including Adele, Post Malone, Skepta, Stormzy, Calvin Harris and Jorja Smith, as well as breakthrough acts like Bakar, Sam Fender and tendai.
Hector’s debut narrative short film ‘Goldfish’ is a poignant and timely exploration into the knife crime epidemic in inner city London. The project earned him BAFTA and BIFA nominations as well as winning Best Short Film at LFF and a YDA. He then went on to direct his debut feature documentary for Post Malone’s ‘RUNAWAY’. And having also shot Skepta’s short film ‘TRIBAL MARK’ in early 2024 he now joins forces with Skepta again directing his second feature length documentary in which he explores themes of cultural identity and artistry, coined for release in 2025. Now Hector pushes even further into long-form, as he looks to director the feature length version of ‘Goldfish’ which he’s co-written with his sister, Laura Dockrill.
